About Stroud/Ehricht/McMillan/Henderson
TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE STROUD/EHRICHT/MCMILLAN/HENDERSON FAMILY AND THEIR EXTENDED FAMILIES,

There are several notable members of this past century:-

1. William Henderson (b abt 1851) help to rebuild the Canadian Parliamentary  Library which was destroyed by fire in 1916. William was a master woodcarver, his job was to reconstruct the wood work in the buildings.(Source - The Canadian Parliamentary Library Records)

2. Jack Stroud (nee John Ehricht)reconstructed (in September 1934) the cowling on the "Lady Southern Cross" for Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith and P.G. Taylor so that they could compete in the Centenary Air Race in London. (Source - "The Sydney Morning Herald" Newspaper, Sydney, N.S.W., Australia)

3. Heather Jelfs (nee McMillan)won the "Sun" Aria (in September 1958 in Sydney, Australia)for her singing, and was invited by Sadlers Wells, Covent Garden (London, England) to perform as one of pricipal singers with the company for several seasons. (Source - "The Sun" & "Daily Mirror" Newspapers, Sydney, N.S.W., Australia)

4. James Newton McMillan helped in the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge by fabricating and supply the Steel Girders, etc., between 1926 - 1931, through his company, Milton Foundry at Granville.

The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
